Michael Barton is the senior vice president and general manager of Apparel Solutions, Solutions Group for Avery Dennison Corporation. He was appointed to this position in January 2022.
In his role, Michael is responsible for leading the worldwide Apparel strategy, and executing and delivering on the business objectives for the division. He is accountable for the division’s core business functions, including commercial, operations, innovation, finance, human resources, legal, and information technology.
He also serves as a Trustee for the Avery Dennison Foundation and serves on the internal audit committee.
Michael joined Avery Dennison in 2007 as part of the Paxar acquisition. Prior to his current role, Michael has served in several senior leadership roles, including vice president and general manager, Global Commercial for RBIS, and vice president of Commercial, Global Performance, RBIS.
Michael holds a bachelor's degree in communications from Texas A&M University.
