BB Skilti, a leading Icelandic traffic sign converter, has again chosen Avery Dennison, investing in a TrafficJet Xpress, their third TrafficJet digital printer! Their first TrafficJet CMSpot 6 printer, back in 2017, enabled them to transition from silkscreen to digital printing and incorporate multi-colored logos on their signs.

"This is our third Avery Dennison printer. First, we invested in the TrafficJet CMSpot 6, then the TrafficJet Xpert, and now the TrafficJet Xpress. The first is our baby. It got us from silkscreen printing to digital printing," says Einar Aaron Baldursson from BB Skilti. "We are happy we took that decision at that time." 

BB Skilti was producing many durable traffic signs in Iceland, but their customers also wanted to implement multi-colored logos on the signs. With the first CMSpot 6 printer, this was possible. A few years later, they needed a second printer to keep up with the demand, so they invested in a TrafficJet Xpert.

After visiting Intertraffic Amsterdam in April 2024 and seeing the new UV LED TrafficJet Xpress printer in action, they were convinced they needed to upgrade to UV printing. "There was no other option but to get the new one, which was promising and for only a fraction of the cost of other printers. The TrafficJet Xpress significantly boosts our productivity and allows us to switch between reflective materials without printer warm-up or cool-down time," continues Einar Aron Baldursson of BB Skilti. "Plus, the prints can be laminated immediately, which further enhances our efficiency and delivery time to our customers."
